WHAT WE DO.
Over the Past years, the Agency for Community Development Aid (ACDA) has successfully delivered Life-saving and development Focused intervention across south Sudan, particularly in conflict-affected and emergency-prone areas. The organization achievements reflect its commitment to Child Protection, sexual and reproductive health, WASH, GBV Prevention and Livelihood Support.
1).Protection (Child Protection and GBV) Intervention
Provided psychosocial Support and Case Management Services to over 1,500 children and survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV)
Strengthen Community Child Protection Networks in High risk areas, facilitating timely referral of Vulnerable Children to appropriate service providers
Conducted Awareness Campaigns on Child Rights and GBV prevention, reaching over 10,000 Community Members
Conduct Capacity Building in Child Protection Case Management in emergency, MHPSS, MRE, S/GBV for Relevant Stakeholders, Staffs and Community members in time to time
Comprehensive Case Management
Provision of MHPSS Services (Social Development Skills)
Capacity building on child protection, GBV, and MHPSS.
Weekly Case Management review Meeting and Centre Routine Meeting at CFS Centers
Establishment of child-friendly and community safe spaces.
Weekly structured psychosocial group sessions for children, facilitated by trained psychosocial workers.
Monthly caregiver support groups focusing on stress management, positive parenting, and self-care.
Training of community volunteers and facilitators using adapted MHPSS guidelines.
Referral of severe cases to available health or protection services.
2). Health and Nutrition- Sexual and reproductive health in emergency (SRHiE)
Distributed over 850 Clean Delivery Kits (CDK) and essential STI Treatment supplies in Collaboration with UNFPA, improving Maternal and neonatal health in emergency-affected Community including Lainya, Rokon, Magwi PHCC
Conducted Community Sensization sessions on Safe Childbirth, family Planning, and STI Prevention, reaching more than 5,000 Women and adolescent Girls
3). Capacity Building and Community engagement
Trained over 200 community volunteers and Local Leaders on Child Protection Case Management, GBV Prevention, emergency response and SRH in emergency
Strengthened feedback and Complaint Mechanisms, enabling communities to safely report concerns and provide input on program Quality.
4)-Operational and Organizational Achievements
Successfully Operated in High Risk and hard to reach areas, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian assistance
Maintained Robust Financial Management, reporting, and accountability systems, ensuring full compliance with donor requirements
Developed and implemented monitoring and evaluation system that supported evidence-based program adjustments and improved service delivery overall impact.
ACDA’S Intervention over the Last Years contributed to enhanced protection, health, WASH and Livelihood for Vulnerable Children and Communities, improved access to emergency SRH Services, Strengthened resilience in Conflict-affected areas, and reinforced community Participation and accountability
